My Background
I received a BA in economics from Western University and an MBA and PhD in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. At PwC I provided client services and led our research efforts in the valuation of complex securities. Before that I led the Global Derivatives valuation practice at Duff and Phelps where we produced hundreds of valuations of complex securities annually. During that time I co-led the valuation of the TARP loans for the Congressional Oversight Panel.

Prior to my valuation career, I taught finance and economics at universities in Canada and the United States. I have published more than 40 research papers in refereed journals. My recent research and practice have focused on the valuation of financial instruments, derivatives and complex securities. My resume, which is shown below provides additional detail.
